چکیده

Abstract In the current investigation, an efficient low-cost nano-scaled material was prepared from waste avocado seeds (NASs) and employed as a sustainable nanosorbent for removal of hexavalent chromium ions. The adsorption surface characteristics with respect to availability functional groups, basic component elements, structural properties NASs were achieved by different techniques. Analysis referred presence carbon oxygen contents providing 97.21%. particles homogenously identified ranged between 18.68 19.05 nm. impact various affecting parameters on ions elaborated optimized at pH 2.0, dose 10 mg, contact time 30 min, temperature 25 °C batch assay. Based outlined results, one can deduce that performance efficiency temperature, low mass, accomplished evaluated NAS nanosorbent. Accordingly, investigated is recommended apply stress industrial wastewater treatment plants.

Hexavalent Chromium Removal from Aqueous Solutions by Adsorption onto Synthetic Nano Size ZeroValent Iron (nZVI)

The present work was conducted for the synthesis of nano size zerovalent iron (nZVI) and hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) removal as a highly toxic pollutant by using this nanoparticles. Batch experiments were performed to investigate the effects of Cr(VI), nZVI concentration, pH of solution and contact time variation on the removal efficiency of Cr(VI). nZVI was synthesized by reduction of ferric ...

Removal of hexavalent chromium from aqueous solution using canola biomass: Isotherms and kinetics studies

The removing of hexavalent chromium from wastewater or decreasing its chromium (VI) content up to the permitted levels is important due to its non-biodegradation, bioaccumulation, and cancer-causing and toxic effects. In the present study, biosorption of Cr (VI) from aqueous solutions using canola was investigated. The various physicochemical parameters such as pH, initial Cr (VI) ion concentra...
